225 g (8 oz) ripe apricots 30 g (1 oz) caster sugar 2 teaspoons lemon or lime juice 2 tablespoons brandy
Rich Chocolate Sauce
180 g (6 oz) plain chocolate 30 g (1 oz) unsalted butter 4 tablespoons golden syrup 150 ml (5fl oz) milk
Rich Vanilla Custard
30 g (1 oz) caster sugar 1 tablespoon cornflour 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla essence 600 ml (1 pint) milk
