Boiled Beef With Vegetables

Ingredients

1 kilo of beef (breast)
˝ kilo of potatoes
Ľ kilo of carrots
3 large onions
4-5 courgettes
1 stick of celery
4 ripe tomatoes
Salt and red pepper

Method

Put the meat, cut into serving portions into a saucepan and add water enough to reach the middle of the pan. When it starts to boil, remove the scum that has formed on the surface. Add salt and allow to boil on a high heat for at least 1 hour. Peel the potatoes, clean the carrots, the onions and the courgettes and add these whole to the boiling beef. Add the celery as it is. Then add the tomatoes cut into four, salt and pepper. When it is ready and the meat tender, serve in a deep serving dish along with the veggies, meat and gravy.
