Cherry Julep

Ingredients

3-4 ice cubes
Juice of ½ lemon
1 teaspoon sugar syrup
1 teaspoon grenadine
1 measure cherry brandy
1 measure sloe gin
2 measures gin
Chopped ice
Lemon rind strips, to decorate

Serves: 1

Method

Put the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Pour the lemon juice, sugar syrup, grenadine, cherry brandy, sloe gin and gin over the ice. Fill a highball glass with finely chopped ice. Shake the mixture until a frost forms then strain it into the ice-filled glass. Decorate with lemon rind strips and serve.
