Dandelion Tea
Ingredients
3 quarts dandelion petals
2 lb. sugar
1 gallon water
2 lemons
Method
Boil the flowers, water and lemon peel together for half an hour, adding more water if necessary to make up the original volume. Strain through muslin and add the sugar and lemon juice. When cold, ice and serve. Another recipe uses the washed tap roots of young plants instead of the flowers.
