Spicy Chicken Wings
These deliciously sticky bites will appeal to adults and children alike, although younger eaters might prefer a little less chilli.
Ingredients
8 plump chicken wings
2 large garlic cloves, cut into slivers
15ml/1 tbsp olive oil
15ml/1 tbsp paprika
5ml/1 tsp chilli powder
5ml/1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Lime wedges, to serve

Method
1. Using a small sharp kitchen knife, make one or two cuts in the skin of each chicken wing and slide a sliver of garlic under the skin. Brush the wings generously with the olive oil.
2. In a large bowl, stir together the paprika, chilli powder and oregano and season with plenty of salt and pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss together until very lightly coated in the mixture.
3. Cook the chicken wings on a medium barbecue for 15 minutes until they are cooked through, with a blackened, crispy skin. Serve with fresh lime wedges to squeeze over.
