Spiced Stroganoff
Ingredients
450g/1 lb fillet steak
15ml/1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
1 small clove garlic, peeled and crushed
225g/8oz mushrooms, sliced
5ml/1 teaspoon brown mustard seeds
5ml/1 teaspoon ground cumin
5ml/1 teaspoon ground coriander
45ml/3 tablespoons dry white wine
Salt
Pepper
140ml/ ¼ pint/ ½ cup sour cream
140ml/ ¼ pint/ ½ cup natural yogurt mixed with 10ml/2 tablespoons cornflour/cornstarch

Method
Cut the meat into very thin strips and toss in the oil. Heat a large browning dish for the manufacturer's recommended time. Add the meat and stir. Add the onion and garlic and cook, uncovered, on HIGH for 2-4 minutes until the onions are soft and the meat is almost cooked.
Stir in the mushrooms, spices, wine, salt and pepper, cook, covered, on HIGH for 4-5 minutes. Stir in the cream, yogurt and cornflour, cook, uncovered, on HIGH for 1-2 minutes to heat through, stirring once. Take care not to let the mixture boil once the cream is added. Serve on a bed of rice.
