Goulash
Ingredients
450g/1lb fillet steak, cut into 2.5cm/ 1 inch cubes
15ml/1 tablespoon oil
2 large onions, peeled and sliced
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
10ml/2 teaspoons paprika
5ml/1 teaspoon caraway seeds
Pinch cayenne pepper
30g/2 tablespoons flour
430ml/ ¾ pint/1½ cups hot beef stock
45ml/3 tablespoons tomato purée/paste
45ml/3 tablespoons natural yogurt

Method
Heat a browning dish for the manufacturer's recommended time. Toss the meat in the oil and, when the dish is hot, quickly add the meat. Stir and cook on HIGH for 1 minute. Add the onions, carrots and the garlic. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 minutes until soft.
Stir in the spices and the flour and cook on HIGH for 1 minute. Stir in the stock and tomato puree/paste. Cover and cook on HIGH for 10 minutes then reduce the setting and cook on LOW for 20 minutes or until the meat is tender. Stir in the yogurt just before serving.

Microwave cooking time: 34-35 minutes
