Stewed Lamb/Mutton

Ingredients

2 lb lamb or mutton lean and boned
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ teaspoon cinnamon, ground
4 potatoes, chopped into ½” cubes
1 cup green peas
2 cups beef broth
Sour cream

Details

Serves: 6


Method

Cut meat into stew sized pieces and fry in the hot oil until browned along with the garlic and onion. Add the other ingredients and 1 cup of the beef broth. Simmer until done. Add more broth if necessary. Garnish with sour cream if you wish.
