Banana Coupe
Ingredients
8 bananas
½ pint double cream
4 dessertspoons strawberry jam
Method
Turn the cream into a cold basin and whip it with a fork or a small whisk until it is thick enough just to hold its shape when a little is left on the fork or whisk.
Put the strawberry jam in the bottom of coupe or sundae glasses. Peel the bananas and cut them in thick, slanting slices, dropping these straight into the glasses as you cut them.
Spoon over the cream to cover all the slices of banana.
