Bruschetta
Italian bread with fragrant olive oil and your favorite herbs.
Ingredients
6 slices Italian or French bread
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
½ teaspoon dried leaf oregano
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon crushed anise seeds

Serves: 6
Method
Place bread slices on baking sheet. Preheat broiler or toaster oven. In a small bowl, thoroughly combine remaining ingredients until well blended. Brush each slice of bread with mixture. Place under broiler and brown; turn slices and brush again. Return to broiler. Toast until brown. Serve at once.
