Barbecued Turkey Burgers

For added flavor, brush the burgers with barbecue sauce while broiling.

Ingredients

¾ pound (340 g) lean ground turkey
¼ cup (20 g) oat bran or quick-cooking rolled oats
2 tablespoons low-sodium barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
1 green onion, chopped
4 teaspoons nonfat mayonnaise
4 hamburger buns
4 slices low-fat cheddar cheese
Lettuce

Method

Preheat broiler. In a medium mixing bowl, combine turkey, oat bran or rolled oats, barbecue sauce, mustard and green onion. Shape into 4 burgers. Broil 7 to 10 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Lightly spread mayonnaise on buns. Top with burgers, cheese and lettuce.
