Pork With Beans

1 ˝ kilos of pork
1 kilo of dried beans
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 cup of oil
Salt, pepper


Serves: 6


Cut the meat into portions and heat it with the onions to brown. Add salt and pepper and the tomato juice. Allow the meat to stew. Boil the beans and drain them.

When the meat is almost tender, supple­ment the sauce with some water and add the beans. Allow to simmer together until the water is absorbed and you have a thick sauce.


1. You can, if preferred, use large dried haricot beans.

2. This dish can be cooked in the oven, that is if you wish to avoid the bother of browning the ingredients.
