French Chocolates


12 oz. plain (semi-sweet) chocolate chips
4 oz. (1 cup) walnuts, ground
Generous pint ( cup) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Pinch salt
Chocolate strands
Shredded coconut
Chopped nuts


Makes: 40


Put the chocolate into a medium sized heat resistant bowl and cook uncovered on HIGH for 4 minutes until melted.

Stir in the nuts, milk, vanilla essence and salt. Leave to cool for 5 minutes. Roll into balls and coat with chocolate strands, coconut or nuts as desired. Place on a greased baking sheet and refrigerate until set.
