Fried Mussels

1 portion (6 mussels) calories: 720. Cooking time: 10 minutes.
Ingredients
1 ½ kilos of mussels
¾ cup of milk
1 egg, beaten
1 soupspoonful of oil
1 cup of flour
Salt, pepper
Oil for frying

Method
Wash the mussels very well and open them with a sharp knife. Remove the contents of the shell and wash them again.
Drain well. Mix the egg, milk and a spoonful of oil, salt and pepper. Add the flour and beat well until smooth. Allow the batter to stand for 1 hour.
In the meantime, put a generous amount of oil into a frying pan and heat well. Dip the mussels one by one into the batter and drop in the hot oil to fry.
Serving suggestion:-
Garnish with slices of lemon and lettuce leaves.
