Bloody Maria

Ingredients

Lime wedge
Celery salt
Black pepper
Ice cubes
1¼ measures tequila
2 teaspoons medium sherry
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
100 ml (3½ fl oz) fresh tomato juice
Cayenne pepper
4-5 ice cubes

To decorate:-

Celery stick
Lime wedge
Basil sprig

Method

Dampen the rim of an old-fashioned glass with a lime wedge then dip it into celery salt and black pepper. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes then add the tequila, medium sherry, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, tomato juice and a pinch each of celery salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Add the ice cubes and shake vigorously then pour into the prepared glass. Decorate with the celery stick, lime wedge and a sprig of basil.
