Chicken Livers With Sage
Ingredients
50 g (2 oz) butter
1 onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
25 g (1 oz) plain flour
500 g (1 lb) chicken livers
250 g (8 oz) button mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon dry white wine
142 ml (5fl oz) carton soured cream
1 tablespoon chopped sage
Salt and pepper to taste
Sage leaves to garnish

Method
Place the butter in a large shallow dish and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute. Add the onion and garlic, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Season the flour with salt and pepper and use to coat the chicken livers. Add to the dish, stir and cook on HIGH for 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms, cover and cook on HIGH for 3 minutes. Stir in the wine and soured cream, add the sage, and salt and pepper and stir gently to mix. Cook on HIGH for 3 minutes.
Garnish with sage leaves and serve immediately, with creamed potatoes or pasta and a green vegetable.
