Creamy-Ground-Beef-and-Noodles

This instant pot ground beef recipe is hearty, comforting and perfect for a winter meal. The beef is cooked until tender in the instant pot, then simmered in a creamy sauce made with sour cream, milk and Parmesan cheese.

The noodles are cooked right in the pot with the beef, making this a one-pot meal that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • instant noodles
  • ground beef
  • onion clove
  • bay leaf
  • thyme leaves
  • garlic cloves
  • vegetable oil
  • salt

Method

Step 1

Sauté beef in oil until cooked through. Add onions and sauté until softened. Season with salt to taste.

Add dried thyme and bay leaf; cook for 3 minutes. Add instant noodles and mix well; cook for 7 minutes. Serve hot and garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired.

Step 2

Press the “saute” button on instant pot. Cook ground beef until no longer pink, stirring often to break up into crumbles. Add onion and garlic; sauté for about three minutes or until onions are tender.

Add instant noodles and mix well with meat mixture in instant pot using tongs. Press the cancel button.

Step 3

Add milk and instant bouillon cubes. Close lid of instant pot, with steam release handle in “seal” position. Press the manual button on high pressure and set for five minutes cook time.

After instant pot beeps to signify it has finished cooking, press cancel/off button or unplug instant pot from power outlet.

Optional

if instant noodles are not cooked through, cook instant pot beef and noodle mixture on “saute” setting for an additional five minutes or until instant noodles are tender. Stir in sour cream; mix well to combine all ingredients together. Serve hot!
