Ground-Beef-Stroganoff

Ground beef stroganoff is a quick and easy recipe that can be made in the instant pot. This recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

The ingredients include ground beef, onion, garlic, mushroom, beef broth, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce.

Ingredients

  • pound of ground beef
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons of instant dry dill weed mix
  • 2 tablespoons of instant onion soup mix
  • 1 can (8 ounces) of sliced mushrooms, drained
  • noodles, instant mashed potatoes or rice to serve with stroganoff

Method

Step 1

Add instant beef and onion soup mix into a bowl. Add water and stir together until the dry ingredients are dissolved in the water. Pour ground beef mixture from the bowl into an instant pot.

Step 2

Lock instant pot lid on tightly; make sure pressure release valve is set to sealing. Select instant pot “manual” setting and then select high pressure for 12 minutes.

Step 3

When the instant pot cycle has ended, do a quick-release of pressure by using a spoon or other heatproof utensil to turn the steam release handle from sealing to venting position to let out the remaining steam.

Step 4

Remove instant pot lid and stir in mushroom pieces. Serve stroganoff over instant mashed potatoes, instant noodles or rice.
